A walk through the forest (pokemon catching topic)

((My pokemon has been approved... but my character hasn't been replied to... so I'm not sure if I can do this yet, and if I can't, let me know and ill stop posting until I can. Thank you.))

Maikeru decided that he needed to add to his team. He only had 3 pokeballs he had bought around the time he got silver, but he was confident that he could get a new teammate. He entered Aura forest with Silver resting on his shoulder, using his backpack as a support. As he continued into the forest, he heard a rustle. He looked over at a nearby bush...

... And a caterpie jumped out! The caterpie slowly and timidly approached the trainer, having a rather curious nature. It tilted its head as it eyed the Evee on the trainer's shoulder. For now, it didn't run away.

Maikeru smiled. Although he wasn't looking for a bug pokemon, the caterpie looked very cute. He pulled a little pokemon food out of his pocket, which the caterpie took. As it ate, he started walking deeper into the forest. The caterpie seemed to want to follow him, but Maikeru really wanted something else. He made a loud noise, which seemed to frighten the caterpie away. The sound seemed to attract another pokemon, for he heard a low noise, like a pokemon ready to attack. It seemed to come from his left....

And attack it did. The duo of Plusle and Minun jumped out of the bush, looking very angry and startled indeed. The Plusle gained a boost from the Minun, jumping into the air, then falling toward Eevee. It fired a kick towards the pokemon on the trainer's shoulder, probably knocking it off.

Maikeru was too suprised to give Silver a command, and Silver was knocked off his shoulder. Silver seemed to flip in the air, barely landing on his feet. The Minun didn't really seem like a good pokemon, but that Plusle looked perfect. "Silver! use sand attack on the Minun, then use Tackle on the Plusle!" Silver shook his head, clearing it from the impact, then put a paw into the ground, making a swift upward gesture, sending sand spraying towards the Minun, and then did a leap to attack the Plusle.

The Minun, taken aback, fell back into the bush making noises of annoyance as it rubbed its eyes. Meanwhile, the plusle was knocked backwards by the tackle. Quickly getting back to it's feet, it used a spark attack, sending a buzzing wave of electricity towards the Eevee, slightly damaged from the tackle.

"Silver! Dodge it!" Silver nimbly jumped, allowing the spark to pass under it. "Silver! Use Tail Whip on Plusle" Silver landed on the ground and started to chase its tail, acting cute an innocent. The Plusle seemed to snicker, and ready another attack. Maikeru didn't let it. "Silver! A quick Tackle!" Silver again lept for the Plusle.

The plusle was hit once more, falling back to the ground with a cry of pain. It was pretty beat up. It slowly got back to its feet, breathing heavily from exhaustion. With a small battle cry, it leapt forward into a quick attack aimed at the Eevee.

Maikeru saw that the plusle was stumbling, incredibly hurt. He looked over to the minun, still rubbing sand out of it's eyes. Maikeru didn't want to do too much damage to the poor thing, so he called out to Silver "Silver! Dodge and stand back!" And then threw one of his three pokeballs at the Plusle...

Plusle, unable to withstand the pokeball, just gave into it, knowing he would be watched by a respectable trainer.

With plusle captured, he walked over and wiped the sand from the minun's eyes. The minun blinked, looked around, then ran off. Maikeru looked at the pokeball he had just used, smiled, then walked out of the forest.
